“Explosions Near Karachi Port Amid India-Pakistan Tensions:Did Indian Navy hit Karachi port after Pakistan’s terror raids?”

Numerous explosions have been reported close to Karachi Port; unverified reports indicate that Pakistani naval bases may have been hit by missile strikes.
Did Indian Navy hit Karachi port?
On Thursday night, multiple blasts were reported in the vicinity of Karachi’s port area. There have been hints of missile strikes against important Pakistani naval bases from unverified sources.
Several news sources claim that India may have launched a major military assault against the Karachi port as a result of growing tensions between India and Pakistan. On Thursday night, there were multiple reported explosions in the vicinity, raising the possibility that missiles struck important Pakistani naval installations.
The Mumbai-based Western Fleet of the Indian Navy is reportedly fully operational and on high alert at the moment. More rumours have been stoked by a social media video that went viral and showed explosions close to the port. However, no official statement has been released so far.
This latest move by India comes shortly after “Operation Sindoor,” carried out on May 7, which targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), but did not involve strikes on any military installations. However, Thursday’s retaliatory action seems to signal a shift in India’s military posture, with some reports even suggesting strikes in key Pakistani cities like Lahore.
Following the spread of false information about an alleged Indian strike on the port, representatives of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) clarified that their official Twitter/X account had been compromised. KPT issued a statement claiming that the reports published from the compromised account were fraudulent and advising media outlets to confirm any information via KPT’s proper PR channels.
1971 Indo-Pak war

In December 1971, the Indian Navy launched its final naval campaign against Pakistan, campaign Trident and Operation Python, targeting the Karachi harbour. Pakistan’s naval supply were seriously hampered by these activities, which damaged a large number of vessels and fuel storage facilities. The Indian Navy commemorates its first strike with Navy Day, observed annually on December 4.
As tensions rise, the two countries have scheduled concurrent naval exercises in the Arabian Sea.India and Pakistan have scheduled their naval exercises to coincide for four key days, with India’s drills running from May 8 to 13 and Pakistan’s from May 9 to 12.
